Adelaide Falcons Cricket Club

Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 April 2026 — Version 1.0

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Adelaide Falcons Cricket Club member-management platform (“Platform”), operated by Adelaide Falcons Cricket Club (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting an invitation and creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use the Platform

Access is granted exclusively to current and invited members of Adelaide Falcons Cricket Club. Accounts are created only via a committee-issued invitation — there is no public sign-up. You must be at least 18 years old, or a parent/guardian must accept these Terms on behalf of a junior member.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You must not share your account or allow others to access it on your behalf.
  • Notify the committee immediately at committee@adelaidefalcons.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Your account reflects your current club membership. If your membership lapses, your access may be suspended or removed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful, club-related purposes. You must not:

  • Share, publish, or redistribute any personal information of other members outside the Platform;
  • Use the Platform to harass, intimidate, or discriminate against any person;
  • Attempt to access areas of the Platform beyond your assigned role;
  • Interfere with the Platform’s operation or attempt to circumvent security controls;
  • Upload malicious code or content.

4. Member data and privacy

Your use of the Platform involves the collection and processing of personal information. How we handle that information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

5. Content you submit

You retain ownership of information you enter into the Platform (profile details, availability responses, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to store and display that information to authorised club members and committee as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring any content you submit is accurate and does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Committee and admin powers

Committee members and administrators may, consistent with their roles, view your profile information, manage your membership status, assign or change your role, and remove your account. All role changes and account actions are recorded in an audit log. The committee operates these powers in accordance with the club constitution and our Privacy Policy.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, your club membership ends, or the committee otherwise determines that access is no longer appropriate. Where practical we will give you notice, except where immediate action is necessary (e.g. a serious conduct matter or a security risk). On termination your personal data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. Platform availability

We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform is provided on a volunteer-maintained basis. We may take it offline for maintenance or updates, and will endeavour to give advance notice where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Adelaide Falcons Cricket Club (and its committee members, officers, and volunteers) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount (if any) you paid for access to the Platform in the preceding 12 months, which in most cases is $0.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and by a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the changes, contact the committee to close your account.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
